Family Law –  Paralegal Assistant

Salary –            £20,000.00 + (dependent on experience)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for the right candidate, experienced or graduate, to join our busy team in a full-time role as a paralegal assistant.

Job Description

The right candidate will be required to assist solicitors throughout the firm. You will be required to help take client instructions, deal with client enquiries, undertake independently legal research for fee earners and other duties from time to time that are otherwise required by the firm and subject to the objective of helping, as a firm, provide high quality legal advice and help to clients of the firm and contribute toward maintaining high standards of client care.

Qualifications

Candidates must have at least a 2:2 degree, have completed the LPC (or equivalent) and ideally have gained some previous relevant work experience, although candidates straight from law school with excellent academics are also encouraged to apply.

Applicant’s should be able to commit to at least 12 months service, ideally.

Responsibilities

The paralegal assistant role consists largely of administrative tasks, however, paralegals will from time to time be expected to undertake fee-earning work as well and so candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, abilities to carry out research, the ability to work under pressure and be great at communication and have good organisational skills. You will also have a passion for family law.
